319 MAIN STREET

This is a four level, 24,000 square foot office base building used as the corporate headquarters for the third floor law firm of McGowan Cecil Smathers. It includes interior fit-out improvements for the basement, first and second floor business and retail tenant areas.  The project is a small infill building that has already received accolades from the City of Laurel and the Laurel Historic District Committee.  It is a testament to the Waldon Studio attitude of respectful architecture that is also designed in collaboration with the needs of the community.

Waldon Studio Architects designed the steel framed brick and pre-cast concrete building to integrate visually into the historic district fabric and scale of historic Main Street, Laurel.  Additionally, Waldon Studio Architects provided interior design for the first floor entrance lobby and business tenants, and third floor law firm interior design that provides business and retail sales space for over 40 employees.

Waldon Studio Architects coordinated the efforts of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical consulting engineers.  The base building cost was $2,700,000.  Tenant Fit-up cost was $500,000.
