Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Recognizes Scott Warren Sider

Winner of the 2019 Robert P. Brosseau Award for the Advancement of CSI

October 10, 2019 (Columbia, Md.) – Waldon Studio Architects (WSA) is pleased to announce that Senior Project Manager Scott Warren Sider was awarded the Robert P. Brosseau Award for the Advancement of CSI at this year’s 2019 Honors and Awards Ceremony held during CONSTRUCT 2019 in National Harbor, Md. The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) is a national association of more than 7,000 members dedicated to improving the communication of construction information by continuously developing and transforming standards and formats, education, and certification. This award honors CSI members who have been recognized by peers as leaders focused on education and the training and mentoring of students and emerging professionals.

“This is a humbling honor,” says Sider. “I’ve spent much of my career mentoring professionals and nurturing a passion for the technical aspects of design and construction. It’s satisfying to have had the opportunity to make a difference in people’s careers.”

Founded in 2003, WSA is built on a commitment to serve and strengthen the community through creative design. A nationally recognized studio of passionate architects and creatives, the firm designs spaces for education, community, worship, government, commercial, multi-family housing, and healthcare clients. The firm also has extensive experience in historic preservation and maintains a dedicated in-house team of historic qualified architects, providing a holistic approach to architectural design and historic preservation.

Sider joined WSA in 2018 and has been a registered Architect since 1987. He has a wide variety of project experience in sectors that include multi-family housing, assisted living, skilled nursing, health clinic, retail, educational, and historic preservation sectors. He is primarily involved with specifications, construction administration and quality management, overseeing accomplishments that include developing, maintaining and managing the WSA’s master specifications, specification automation, graphic standards nomenclature, and construction administration databases. He is a Certified Construction Specifier (CCS), Certified Construction Product Representative (CCPR), and a Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA). He also holds a certification in Construction Documents Technology (CDT). Sider has served as an instructor for the Baltimore Chapter of CSI and for the Anne Arundel Community College Architecture and Interior Design Department.
